The RB6 kicked off Red Bull Racing's dominant F1 era, with Sebastian Vettel becoming the youngest world champion in history at the time, clinched in the final race of 2010.
The RB6 was the car with which Red Bull Racing stopped being a promising newcomer and became a dominant force in F1. Designed by Adrian Newey, it fully exploited the blown diffuser concept, an aerodynamic solution that channeled exhaust gases to generate extra downforce at the rear of the car, a trick rival teams took months to replicate. The result was a car exceptionally fast through corners, with which the team claimed its first constructors' championship.
The 2010 season is remembered for one of the tightest title fights in history, with as many as four drivers — Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton — still mathematically in contention heading into the final race in Abu Dhabi. Vettel, starting from what looked like an unfavorable position in the overall standings, won the race and was crowned world champion at just 23 years old, becoming the youngest champion in Formula 1 history at the time, finishing ahead of even his own teammate, Mark Webber.
